Snapstar - New way to discover photos

See the most interesting people, places, and things through pictures, aka snaps. And unlike other photos apps we believe pictures that are captivating and interesting should not go unrewarded so we decided to do something about it.

So when you snap awesome pictures you have a chance to earn stars awarded by your peers who appreciate you not posting a picture of a wall. You can then use these stars to unlock best things around you.

Become a snap star at www.snapstar.me or download it on android here: http://bit.ly/yG22hH

Dosa on Filmore

I discovered another amazing find in the heart of San Francisco. Get ready for it... South Indian Crepes, aka Dosa. Now the term "crepe" is too fancy of a word for this common food you can find in every household and street corner in South India. With that being said there is nothing more comforting than good traditional "masala" dosa [Pictured above: you have to try it but be warned it is not for those with low threshold for pain - spiciness I mean]

and

"DOSA on FILMORE" does not disappoint.

The amazing part is the genius behind this restaurant figured out a way to charge around $11 bucks for it!  I mean come on. With a $11 USD I can make enough dosa to feed a small village in India. I know, I grew up there. And the worst part is I am hooked and I keep going back for more.

But for everyone else without prior experience this is worth every dollar.

Spot of the Week - California Academy of Sciences

Night at the museum? Absolutely! The Academy of Sciences features a nightlife theme every Thursdays where they mix a bit of science with entertainment. Thursday they had a live martial arts demonstration along with their exhibits of white crocodile, anaconda, variety of sea creatures, just to name a few.

Now for the entertainment bit, they had a live DJ mixing crazy beats with an open floor for people to mingle and dance. Of course there was no shortage of drinks or food, which made the entire experience that much better.

After a few hours of fun you might see a wax exhibit come to life.
